Why did he not answer me?

I have a guy friend who is a year younger than me. We started texting each other because my friend used to date him and her dad will not let her text him. So we texted and face timed a lot and became really good friends. I started liking him and I told him that I liked him. He said he liked me a little. We stopped talking for a week after that. Then we started talking again but 3 days later he is ignoring me... I really want to be friends with him and nothing more. Help????
